I'd like to send my prayers to Boston and everyone affected by the explosions at the end of the marathon. It was very close to home for me. I had a lot of friends there at the time.

Hello people! I am SO excited to announce that I am participating in a blog hop for my fellow CCer's debut novel, Serving Time, coming out on May 16th!!!!!
For those who are just hopping on, here is a link to Nadine's blog for the book blurb!
The previous stop on the blog hop train was at Shane Jeffery's blog right: here : with a interview with Tristan, so stop on there to learn more about him before you read the sneak peek. :)

IT IS TIME. THE SNEAK PEEK OF TRISTAN CROSS IS HERE!!!! READ ON :)

Tristan rotated his wrists while he assessed his situation. Locked in the back room of a downtown deli with a pretty—not gorgeous, just pretty—female shopkeeper batting her eyes at him and trying to liquor him up. If the guy up front was her  husband, he might have a problem.

Quinn’s smile slowly faded. “So…tell me. What training do you have?”

Tristan stiffened. “What?”

“You went to school, right? Studied something?”

“Yeah…I’m a pilot. Interplanetary.”

“An interplanetary pilot! What a noble profession.” She tilted her head. “Yet here you are, doing other people’s dirty laundry. I hear you get paid to kill.”

Tristan’s heart skipped a beat, then jumpstarted with a growing fury. Prickly heat coursed down his arms. “I don’t know what lie you told the company to have them send me over, but I won’t stand here while you waste my time.” He turned to the console by the door and punched in random numbers. Maybe he’d get lucky for once and the door would pop open. Have hope, man. Hope would keep his mind off of his future. Off of the dark wave that waited just out of sight, licking its lips and preparing to pounce on him.

“How do you feel about them? About the people you killed, I mean.” Quinn’s voice made the bright overheads shine a little darker.

Tristan clenched his jaw and jabbed the buttons. The console had thousands of possible combinations. He’d never get out.

“Then there are the families, of course…” Quinn’s voice pounded like a fist against his back. “The grieving wives, husbands, and children. Ever give them any thought?"

The families. That group of unknown who had also suffered because of him. Their blurred faces haunted him every day. He swerved around, fist raised. “Open the fucking door, or I swear—”

Quinn gazed at him, her finger caressing the edge of her glass. “You swear what? You wouldn’t dare hurt the person who can save your life.”
:o
AWESOME, RIGHT??!!!!

Tomorrow (APRIL 12th), Nadine will show how the cover was made and interview the cover artist! SO EXCITING!!!! So hop on by tomorrow. :)

And thanks Nadine for incuding me in the hop! :) Good luck with your novel.

THE BEGINNING OF THE NUMBER OF PI.

Like the picture? :)

Happy Pi Day.

Just a heads up: later today I will update this blog post with a review of the movie "Warm Bodies"! Stay tuned. :)

EDIT AS OF MARCH THIRD:

So sorry about the delay! I was intending to do the review yesterday, but I ended up doing things after the movie so that I couldn't find time to type a review. But here goes!

Official blurb:

A funny twist on a classic love story, this is a tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human - setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

My review:

OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
The story is that this zombie, R (because he can't remember his name, and he only knows it started with an R) meets this human survivor named Julie when he and a few other zombies go out for food. And when I say food, I mean living people's brains. :o He doesn't like to, but if he didn't eat he would... well, I guess it wouldn't be dying since he is already dead... but he would cease to be the living dead.

Now, did you catch the little pun? R and Julie? R and Juliet, perhaps? OR EVEN ROMEO AND JULIET???? :D

I don't want to give anything away. But I have to tell you: THIS MOVIE IS PERFECT. It isn't too much like a horror movie, even with the brain stuff, it isn't too serious (in fact, it has the perfect mixture of comedy and moral), and it isn't too gushy, lovey-dovey. My kind of movie, lol!

I highly suggest seeing this movie.
Go.
Now!
Or you can wait the agonizing time until it comes out on Netflix or On Demand or dvd or whatnot. Your choice.

A small warning: there is some swearing. But it goes with the comedy perfectly. :)

Now. As you have read this review...

CHECK YOUR LOCAL THEATERS NOW FOR THE WONDERFUL MOVIE "WARM BODIES"!

OMG. :D

I've been nominated for an award!

OMG. Breathe, Maeve, breathe!

Haha yay! Thanks, Fab!

Now, the first rule is that I have to include seven interesting things about myself.

And..... GO!

1.)  I LOVE DOCTOR WHO. You probably already know that. You can visit the page I have for it. But did you know that my dad introduced me to it? :D He's from Ireland.

2.) I like lemon merange  (merange? Is that how you spell it?) pie. Without the merange. :)

3.) I have no pets. I used to have two fish but when my mom and I went on vacation to Florida my dad cleaned the tank with chemicals. You know what happened next. :)

4.) I have no social life! Haha just kidding. I should rephrase that. I have no social life after school. That's better. Homework is my unwanted friend. :)

5.) I'm a trombone  player! Have been since fifth grade.

6.) An A(/A-) :) student since sixth grade.

7.) I like to act. Currently I'm in In the Heights at my school. I've also done background work as an acting job (I was in the Hallmark movie The Makeover for about three seconds, lol!)

Okay, so this is the part where I’m supposed to nominate 7 bloggers  for the award.

And..... GO!

1) Beginingsinwriting > The first blog I read, lol! I'm not really a blogging type person, but I like contests, so thank you, Mr. F, for the crit and introducing me to blogging! :) And I heard that the missing "n" is on purpose. :)

2.) The Writing Bean > Thanks again Fab! I love the posts (ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AND CRICKETS? What more do you need?) :D

3.) The Resurgence > Not really a blog, and I bet she'll never see this post, but to my friend and fellow writer, I nominate Fiona. :)

4.) House of the Tardis > Haha Fiona again but  this is more of a blog. :) AWESOME Doctor Who stuff right here.

5.) Critique Circle > Why not? It's got a blog. :) Very helpful stuff and info  for writers, by writers. (Cheesy, but I couldn't resist. :D)

6.) Uh oh. I  ran out of blogs. :-o Oops. I told you I wasn't much of a blogging person. :)

7.) Here's some math for ya. Nominations 1-5 each get another 2/5 of an award. :)

Done! Not sure how I'll win... or how I'll know if I won... but it was fun!

:-o I'm a poet and I didn't even know it. :)

Hehehehe.... Keep reading. You'll understand why... :)
I forgot to post something IMPORTANT yesterday.

Darn.

Oh well, carry on.

What? You want to know what was important?

If you insist....

It was my BIRTHDAY!

I know! You never saw that one coming. :)

I ate THREE cupcakes. Two from my friend (red velvet, yummy!) and one from my parents. CHOCOLATE!

It was funny though, because some of my friends that I thought would remember didn't and some who I thought would forget remembered. :o

And there's a storm a comin'. On Friday! And Saterday! The day I wanted to celebrate at the movies! And we are supposed to get two feet of snow, maybe more!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!

*sigh*

At least I don't have a lot of homework. ;)

Hello! This is a sneak peek at chapter eight. I know, exciting. ;) This is mainly an introduction of Sam, Luke's brother.

Before either of them continued, Mr. Kenneth spoke up. “Perfect timing, Sam. We were just talking about you.”

“About how amazing I am, right?”

Luke’s brother was similar in looks to him and their father. He was the same height as Luke, if not a little more muscular, and like their dad, he was tan. But that was where the similarities ended. He had long, blonde hair, and his eyes were gray. Lilith guessed that those traits had come from their mother.

“Not exactly,” Luke’s dad said, a smile curling his lips.“This garage sure is getting crowded. Let’s head to the training room. Lilith, just follow Luke.”

Training room?”Lilith prompted Luke as they walked toward the door.

Yeah. Our Elemental training room.

Your family has been here three days and you’ve already set one up?” Lilith raised her eyebrows.

Luke looked like he was about to respond when without warning a whole new voice popped into their conversation. “
You’ve got to work on your poker face, Lilith Ross.

She jumped.
Oh, right. Sam.

Lilith stared at the back of Sam’s head and thought, “
So I’ve been told.” They entered the kitchen through the mudroom, and Eddy and Olivia were still working.

A snicker escaped Sam at her thoughts. Lilith’s lab partners looked up from the sketch in front of them. Out of the corner of her eye, Lilith peeked at the clock on the Kenneth’s microwave. Four o’clock.

I know, not much of a cliffhanger, but I hope you liked it.

Hello fellow... people. Hmm. Interesting...

I don't have any idea about you people reading this. Not at all! Well, some of you (oh, I admit it; most) are from CC. Hehe...

BUT! I am not just a writer. I am a trombonist, an actress, a singer, a student, and most importantly, a Whovian.

A Whovian, you ask? Why, they are only the most awesome people in the world. Many are British, but they come from many different nationalities, like me, the American.

Now you may be wondering about that picture. A Tardis? What the heck is that? Well, you have to be a Whovian to understand.

Okay, so a Whovian is someone who is a SUPERFAN of the British TV show, Doctor Who. Who? Get it? Whovian? Okay.
Here's a knock knock joke:

Me: Knock Knock.
You: Who's there?
Me: The Doctor.
You: Doctor Who?
Me: *grin* Exactly.

Okay, back to business.

The Tardis is the Doctor's time and space traveling spaceship.
Time
And
Relative
Dimensions
In
Space

The chameleon ability to let it blend in got stuck in the form of a British police box. And it's bigger on the inside! A whole different dimension...
And I have one in my room! Well, it's really just a cardboard cutout, but still awesome nonetheless.

It's a bowtie. I wear bowties now. Bowties are cool.
-Matt Smith (aka, the Doctor)

Geronimo!
-Again, Matt Smith. :)
